1. What is CityWatch?

CityWatch is Augusta's open government / transparency website initiative, designed to provide citizens with a consistent search and viewing experience while they view information related to city budgets and projects.

3. Where are projects from SPLOST Phases I-IV?

These projects are not included in this first release of CityWatch. Information is readily available for SPLOST VI because many of those projects are currently active, and SPLOST 7 projects will be tracked from the very beginning. At this time it is undetermined which previous SPLOST Phases will be added in the future.

4. How often is ProjectWatch updated?

The financial data is updated on a quarterly basis to coincide with the release of updates to the Augusta Commission. The narrative updates are performed by city departments as they take place, so these updates can occur more frequently to reflect a "real-time" project status.

5. I can't find a project that I'm interested in. What do I do?

First, you can ensure that you're using the right tools to locate the project, such as the buttons at the top of the screen. You can also type in key words in the Search box, located at the top right of the screen. If you still cannot find a project, please let us know by clicking on the Feedback button and your concern will be investigated.

6. Where are the Stormwater Projects in CityWatch?

The stormwater fee is a new fee that has been collected since the beginning of 2016. The intent of CityWatch is to offer three types of information related to storm water activities as funds become available: 1) Major Projects, which will appear just like other projects shown under ProjectWatch, 2) Maintenance Activities, which will include maps showing where stormwater-fee funded work is being performed, and 3) Dashboards that show the value of the fees that have been collected in comparison to the budgeted areas in which the fees are to be applied.
