I sold/bought a property and the owner information is incorrect, when will the information be updated?

Property transfers are recorded by the Clerk of Court’s Office as they are received from the attorney’s offices; once a log is completed it is transferred to the Tax Assessors Office to be corrected. This process can take up to a year, however; the new owner will be updated by the time tax notices are sent for the first full year of ownership. Please contact the Chief Appraiser at (706) 821-2310 for further details.
