Support Augusta, Georgia's Historic 5th Street Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation Project by casting your vote for the project to win American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials' (AASHTO) People's Choice Award! This iconic structure is a finalist in this nationwide competition that recognizes excellence in transportation infrastructure. The renovated bridge stands as a testament to modern bridge engineering, repurposed into a lively pedestrian crossing magnetizing local community activities. Visitors can enjoy Wi-Fi, benches, charging stations, artistic shading, and water fountains for humans and pets. Children can enjoy music, spin wheels, and mazes.
