The EEO Office facilitates inclusion and equal opportunity for Augusta-Richmond County Employees under the guidelines of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (Title VII), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), The Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA), the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

In addition, the office conducts individual, departmental and systemic inquiries in relation to Title VII, Section 504, ADA, ADEA, EPA, GINA, and USERRA.”

The internal Augusta-Richmond County EEO Office covers employees and departments in the Augusta-Richmond County government operating under the authority of the Mayor and the Commission.
