Preparation and response to a chemical terrorist incident is not unlike that of similar hazardous materials emergencies. Be aware, however, that a chemical attack may employ the use of bombs or vehicles, such as boats or airplanes, to spray or release chemical agents in the air.
Take these steps to prepare for a chemical terrorist incident:
Choose an internal room on the highest level of your home to take shelter; this should preferably be a room without windows
Be sure that your emergency kit includes scissors, duct tape, and plastic sheeting
Cut and measure the plastic sheeting in advance to save critical time in the event of an incident
