Welcome to Parks & Recreation

The Augusta Parks and Recreation Department manages over 1,500 acres of parkland, 60 park sites and community centers, athletic fields, swimming pools and aquatic centers, playgrounds, tennis courts, dog parks, fitness areas, active and passive parks, senior centers, neighborhood parks, pocket parks, a campground, regional parks and recreation centers.

We are focusing on not just being fun, but on giving all citizens and visitors alike an opportunity to improve their physical and mental health, to develop youth, to protect the environment and to have a positive economic impact on Augusta, Georgia through our parks, programs and services.

Access to quality parks and recreation facilities and programs are highly valued elements of Augusta, Georgia. The Department is committed to the development of urban parks, vibrant recreation programming and preservation of the natural resources in Augusta, Georgia.

We as a Department strive to always provide all who come to our parks and facilities with the best programming and recreational experience possible.
