Infrastructure Project Information

Augusta, Georgia is responsible for installing and maintaining hundreds of miles of roads, water and sewer lines, as well as managing hundreds of thousands of individual components of the water and sewerage systems, traffic lights and control systems, storm water / drainage, hydrants, road striping, and traffic signs.  There is widespread demand for new infrastructure as well as maintenance and upkeep on existing assets.

Most infrastructure projects require a significant outlay of funds in order to ensure that design and construction conform to local, state, and national standards.  The funding for the projects is derived from various sources such as the Federal Government, the State of Georgia, and local funds such as sales tax, storm water fees, and property tax.  These pages have been developed to provide the citizen with a means of seeing how these funds have been utilized.
