One of the key components of the CityWorks product is that it works well in a mobile environment. For the first time, AUD employees are able to take mobile devices into the field and access Work Orders and Assets as though they were in the office.
The capability provides the added benefit of distributing work order and asset management throughout the organization. Historically, work orders were printed and handed to supervisors, and then a single employee would enter the hand-updated data once it was returned to the office. Now, the supervisors are able to accomplish that work in the field and management has access to real-time information for decision making.
