Pre-Construction

Responsibilities

The Pre-Construction Section is responsible for the management and oversight of the following programs:

• Special Purpose Local Option (1%) Sales Tax Construction Work Program
• Roadway Resurfacing Program
• Paving Dirt Road Program
• Georgia Department of Transportation Local Assistance Resurfacing Program (LARP).

Duties include the design, construction inspection, and oversight for the roadway and drainage improvement projects throughout Augusta Richmond County.

All Right of Way Acquisition is also performed to support the aforementioned activities.
