What is the Traffic Violations Bureau?
The Traffic Violations Bureau (TVB) was created by the State Court of Richmond County, Georgia by an Order dated November 14, 2013, with the consent of the Augusta Commission. The TVB is a new division of the Clerk of Superior, State and Juvenile Court’s Office, under the authority and supervision of the State Court. The TVB is a cooperative venture of the Richmond County State Court, the Solicitor General's Office, the Clerk of Superior, State and Juvenile Court’s Office, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, and other law enforcement agencies, with the intent of streamlining the management and payment process for certain offenses. Cases that come to the TVB are minor driving offenses that occur in Richmond County, on or after January 1, 2014, in which the violator has the option of posting a bond (paying a fine) in lieu of a court appearance.
The
Traffic Violations Bureau Bond Order sets out these payable violations and applicable fines.
