Residential Plot Plans

Required Data
The following data must be included in Residential Plot Plans:
  • Contractors name
  • Street name and property address
  • Lot dimensions drawn to scale
  • Show all drainage and utility easements
  • Show existing drainage swales
  • Show foot print of building
  • Show building setback dimensions
  • Show best management practices to be implemented:
    • Sediment barriers
    • Proposed drainage swales
    • Construction exit
  • Show positive storm water drainage from the lot to an existing storm water structure
    • Direction of flow to be indicated by arrows
    • Existing storm water structure includes paved streets, drainage structure inlets, drainage ditches, and swales
  • Show how disturbed soils will be permanently stabilized
The License and Inspection Department will inspect for compliance with this ordinance for residential construction on individual lots. If a project is deemed not to be in compliance with the approved plot plan, the contractor will be issued a written notice to comply with the approved plot plan.
