Congratulations To Wanda Elam

The Employee Recognition Committee has selected Wanda Elam as the September Employee of the Month for the City of Augusta. Mrs. Elam has been an employee with the City of Augusta for twelve years. She currently works in the 9-1-1 Center as a Lieutenant.

Mrs. Elam was nominated by co-worker Sheila Johnson.

She was nominated for her leadership qualities. Mrs. Elam leads by example and always goes the extra mile. Her pride and work ethics rub off on everyone who works with her. She is highly respected as a supervisor and guides them whenever they need assistance.

The committee felt that based on this nomination and Mrs. Elam’s dedicated and loyal service to the City of Augusta, she should be awarded “Employee of the Month” for the month of September. Lt. Wanda Elam was awarded Employee of the Month during the October 6, 2007 Commission Meeting.
