Employee of the Month - September 2006

Congratulations To Robert Brandon

The Employee Recognition Committee has selected Robert Brandon as the September 2006 Employee of the Month for the City of Augusta. Mr. Brandon has been an employee with the City for fourteen years. He is currently an airside maintenance supervisor with the Augusta Regional Airport.

Mr. Brandon was nominated by co-worker Julie Owen.

Mr. Brandon volunteered to extend a safety zone around a runway that was in danger of becoming a FAA violation. With the help of his staff, the work was completed within one week and saved the City approximately $48,000. His ability and knowledge to do these unexpected tasks has proven to be invaluable. It is this dedication that makes him stand out among his co-workers.

The committee felt that based on this recommendation and Mr. Brandon’s dedicated and loyal service to the City of Augusta, he should be awarded “Employee of the Month”, for the month of September. This award was presented to him during the Commission meeting on October 17, 2006
