Congratulations To Juanita Simpkins

The Employee Recognition Committee has selected Juanita Simpkins as the June Employee of the Month for the City of Augusta. Mrs. Simpkins has been an employee with the City of Augusta for thirteen years. She currently works as the Code Enforcement secretary at the Augusta License and Inspection Department.

Mrs. Simpkins was nominated by her fellow co-worker Josephine Jackson.

Mrs. Simpkins was nominated for the manner in which she handles her duties for the Code Enforcement officers. She is very supportive and goes out of her way to help each officer. Her sincere and kind manner has a way of calming any situation or conversation. Several of her co-workers feel they could not accomplish what they do without her.

The committee felt that based on this nomination and Mrs. Simpkins’ dedicated and loyal service to the City of Augusta, she should be awarded “Employee of the Month” for the month of June. She was recognized during the July 10th, 2007 Commission Meeting.
