Congratulations To Lisa Blackwelder

The Employee Recognition Committee has selected Lisa Blackwelder as the July Employee of the Month for the City of Augusta. Mrs. Blackwelder has been an employee with the City of Augusta for three years. She currently works in the Client Support Services for Information Technology. Client Services handles the trouble-shooting phone calls made to Information Technology; also known as the “Help Desk”.

Mrs. Blackwelder was nominated by several fellow co-workers, Adrian McDaniel, Jeffery Lewis, and Deidra McRae. She was nominated for her “can do” attitude. Mrs. Blackwelder is a team player and has gone out of her way to help both fellow employees and other county employees. She takes the initiative to go into the field to learn more about the problems and how to develop better solutions. She is a great role model for her division.

The Committee felt that based on these nominations and Mrs. Blackwelder’s dedicated and loyal service to the City of Augusta, she was awarded the Employee of the Month for July at the August 21, 2007 Commission Meeting.
