Employee of the Month - May 2006

Congratulations To Chris Scheuer

The Employee Recognition has selected Chris Scheuer as the May 2006 Employee of the Month for the City of Augusta. Mr. Scheuer has only been an employee for 13 months, but he has really made a difference. He is currently an athletic supervisor with Augusta Recreation and Parks Facilities.

He was nominated by his supervisor Buck Salter.

Mr. Scheuer was in charge of the Local Track and Field event and the Georgia Recreation and Parks State Track and Field. He ran a very successful local track meet for boys and girls that were combined for the first time in Augusta Recreation Track history. He works with the Marketing Coordinator to make sure that sponsors receive the team schedules and other sponsor perks.

Chris sets goals and achieves them. He will assist with any and all programs. He has an outstanding attitude and was selected as the April Employee of the Month for Recreation and Parks.

The committee felt that based on this recommendation and Mr. Scheuer’s dedicated and loyal service to the City of Augusta, he was awarded the Employee of the Month for the month of May during the Commission meeting on June 20, 2006.
