Mission Statement
The mission of Augusta Animal Services is to protect human safety, property, and animal welfare by controlling animals and enforcing the law.
We also investigate cruelty allegations and all reported bite cases, respond to complaints concerning stray animals roaming the public streets (to include wildlife and livestock), and try to educate the public on proper animal care and the Title 4 Ordinance pertaining to leash laws, duty of owner to control their animals, vaccinations, and other laws promoting responsible pet ownership.
