Newman Tennis Center is responsible for developing and supporting safe tennis programs, events, and activities that benefit the City of Augusta and the wellness of its citizens.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate 11-14 tennis tournaments annually
  • Offer beginner tennis lessons for adults and children
  • Support the programs for the Community Tennis Association (CSRATA), high schools, and universities
  • Supply a safe and secure tennis environment for the community
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses

About Newman Tennis Center
Newman Tennis Center is a municipal tennis facility with 18 hard courts (14 lighted). NTC is operated by the Augusta Recreation, Parks & Facilities Department and is open to the public through hourly court fees or membership fees.

Hours
  • Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 9:00 pm
  • Friday, 8:30 am - 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Sunday, 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Hours may vary by weather, season, and special events.
