New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam is located on the Savannah River adjacent to Bush Field Airport and operated by the Augusta Recreation and Parks Department. Lock and Dam is the perfect site for fishing and recreational boating. The park has north and south boat ramps, three picnic shelters, table groupings and grills, fish stations, and comfort stations.

Lockmaster Information
The Augusta Recreation, Parks and Facilities Department would like to announce the contact number for the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam Lockmaster, Russell Brunson. The Lockmaster can be reached at (706)799-7457. All boaters seeking passage through the locks please call the above listed number and give a 24 hour notice. The fee will be $35.00 for each passage. For more information or in case of emergency please call Russell Brunson at the above listed number.

  • Closes at 7:00 pm (March and October)
  • Closes at 8:00 pm (April, May and September)
