Objective
Welcome and thank you for visiting us at the Augusta Recreation and Parks Department. We believe our programs live up to our mission. Whether you are three years old or 75 years young, we have something for you.
Our programs include over 63 parks, playgrounds, aquatics, learn-to-swim programs, fishing, arts and crafts, camps, golf, concerts, and a variety of athletic opportunities. You can rent shelters, buildings, and attend one of the many special events that occur in our parks.
The way we utilize our leisure time directly affects our quality of life. Whether our activities are physical, mental, or just provide a respite from the daily routine, they improve our sense of well-being. Thus, excellent parks and recreation programs enhance the overall value of life in a city.
We, at the Recreation and Parks Department, invite you to utilize our programs and parks to improve your leisure time. We believe our programs help to make Augusta a great place to live, work, raise a family, and play! You can find the closest recreation center or park to your home on the Find Parks and Community page.
