Diamond Lakes Regional Park
Overview

The latest addition to the master planned development for Diamond Lakes Regional Park is the new community center and library. Opened in September of 2005, this joint use facility was the result of the cooperative efforts between the Augusta Recreation, Parks and Facilities Department and the East Central Georgia Regional Library.

In 2006 and 2007, the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Phase V will provide a total
of $800,000 for continued improvements to the Park. Scheduled improvements call for the construction of a new entrance / exit to the Park off of Willis Foreman Road.

This project estimated to cost $600,000 is fortunate to have $360,000 in Georgia DOT funding to assist in this road construction. The next development to occur will be the construction of a tennis complex.
