Augusta Housing Authority
The Augusta Housing Authority consists of five members who are appointed by the Mayor or the governing authority of the City, should the Mayor refuse to make appointments.
The Authority was created by the Housing Act of 1937 which allowed states to pass laws to establish housing authorities. Its mission is to develop and operate affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low-income families.
