Augusta Cemetery Records
As you may have seen in the local news media, in Augusta, GA, we have taken on the large task of recording all Augusta, GA cemetery records into a cemetery database that will not only give the information we have on the deceased, but will also include such things as pictures, GIS mapping, gravestone recordings, and more.
All this will be made accessible through the internet with the Graveside Database that the Augusta-Richmond County Information Technology Department has generously built and programmed for our needs in the city cemeteries.
Click here to read more about the history and scope of the Graveside Project, which has resulted in thousands of searchable burial records being made available to the public!
We are excited about this new endeavor, but we need your help in making this dream come true in the near future. Without your help, it would be many, many years before we had the hundreds of thousands of names and information entered into the Graveside database.
If you feel that you would like to volunteer please contact the Magnolia Cemetery office at (706) 821-1746 or you may email Jerry Murphy. Due to the limited computers we have for entering the data, please do not show up to enter data without first scheduling and having received conformation.
