General Information
The Augusta-Richmond County Commission / Council and the Department of Transportation began operating the Richmond County Transit System in September of 1989. The areas served by this transportation system are called non-urban by the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT).

By teaming together, the federal, state, and county can jointly finance the operation of an on-urban program by implementing Section 5311 of the Federal Urban Mass Transportation Act (UMTA).

Reservations
Reservations must be scheduled by calling (706) 821-1497 before 2:00 pm the day prior to appointment date. Appointments may be called-in up to a week in advance.
