Did You Know?

If you are UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE??? There are several laws that apply specifically to drivers in your age group that you must be aware of. If you are a driver under the age of 21, and you are convicted of any of the following offenses, your license WILL BE SUSPENDED for 6 months (1st offense) or 12 months (2nd offense).

Traffic Safety Tip

Drinking and driving is not only dangerous but it will result in a period of time in confinement as well as suspension of your driver's license or privileges to drive on the roads of Georgia. To avoid these problems, if you plan on drinking, designate a driver, or if you plan on driving, don't drink.

The charts below illustrate, on average, how drinking will affect your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). Understand that you are impaired after the first drink and SHOULD NOT DRIVE IF YOU HAVE HAD ANYTHING TO DRINK, but you will be arrested if your BAC is .08 or above or you are otherwise less safe to drive because you are impaired by alcohol or drugs. Be fair to yourself and others…be safe, plan ahead, arrive alive.
