Julian Smith Casino

Julian Smith Casino is located at historic Lake Olmstead Park. It is nestled between southern magnolia and pine trees right next to Lake Olmstead. Julian Smith Casino is the ideal place for a beautiful wedding reception or any other special event. The main hall of the facility has heart of pine hardwood flooring as well as palladium windows that open out towards the lake. Julian Smith Casino is also equipped with a caterer's kitchen, tables and chairs to seat up to 300 people, as well as a patio. Julian Smith Casino is the perfect site for any special event! Julian Smith Barbeque Pit

Julian Smith Barbecue Pit is located at Lake Olmstead Park. The barbecue pit offers a birds-eye view of lake Olmstead. Julian Smith Barbeque Pit is the ideal setting for a family reunion or fundraiser. The barbeque pit is equipped with a full service caterer's kitchen as well as with a restaurant style barbeque pit. The main dining hall of the Julian Smith Barbecue Pit has beautiful heart of pine flooring along with large windows that overlook the lake. In addition, the Barbecue pit has a stone patio with wrought iron furniture that is truly a delight on a warm spring afternoon. The Julian Smith Barbecue pit can seat up to 200 people.

New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam Park

New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam is located on the Savannah River adjacent to Bush Field Airport and operated by the Augusta Recreation and Parks Department. Lock and Dam is the perfect site for fishing and recreational boating. The park has north and south boat ramps, 3 picnic shelters, table groupings and grills, fish stations, and comfort stations.

The rental season is April - September. October through March , all shelters and tables are on a first come, first serve basis.

The Boathouse Community Center

The Boathouse Community Center is located on the banks of the picturesque Savannah River. This rental facility offers an eagle eye view of the Savannah River and all of its beauty. The Boathouse Community Center is the perfect place for a wedding reception or banquet. The Boathouse features in the main hall a panoramic view of the natural beauty of the Savannah River with windows and doors that lead to a wrap around deck. There is also a full service caterer's kitchen, a bar, a DJ's booth, and a stage area. The main hall of the Boathouse Community Center can seat up to 250 people. Tables and chairs are available. The Old Government House is one of Augusta's oldest rental facilities. The Old Government House is the original court house for the city of Augusta, which was built in 1801. The Old Government House is the ideal place for a grand wedding reception or any formal affair. The capacity for this facility is 283 people. Facility Rental Policies

Dates will be released if the contract and deposit are not returned within five (5) working days of the initial contact with a representative of Augusta Recreation and Parks.

All rentals are on a first come/ first serve basis. Minimum age requirement for renting a building is twenty-one (21).

The facility must be left clean - inside and outside, just as you found it. Augusta will not be responsible for articles left on premises. Any damages will have to be repaired by the Recreation Department or a contractor obtained by the department and will be paid for by the renting party. The Recreation Department is not liable for any injuries occurring from activities associated with the rental. Any renting party not adhering to the policy set forth in this contract will be subject to being disallowed further use of Recreation facilities in the future.

THE RENTAL/CONFIRMATION/CLEAN UP RATE :

*The deposit is due at the time of the booking. All dates are tentative until this contract is returned.
*The balance is due thirty (30) days prior to the event. Any fees paid within thirty days of the event must be paid in cash.
*All rentals must be confirmed in full seventy-two hours in advance.

If renting a Community Center, Augusta Golf Course, AquaticCenter or a SupervisedNeighborhoodPark, please pay at the facility. If you are interested in an unsupervised park, please call 706-796-5025 for referral.

Cancellations
Prior to 90 days of the date reserved:	100% REFUND
Between 60-90 days :	50% REFUND
Less than 60 days:	NO REFUND

The confirmation / clean up payment will be returned within 20 working days following the event if warranted.

DECORATIONS: Any decorating shall be done the day of the event only.

TABLES/CHAIRS: A certain number of tables and chairs are available on the premises. If additional tables/chairs are needed it will be the responsibility of the renting party. It shall be the responsibility of the renting party to do their own set upand break down. Failure to take down set up will result in forfeiture of the clean up deposit.

SUPERINTENDENTS: All functions must have a department employed superintendent on duty for the entire length of the rental. The superintendent’s duties will be to admit entrance, be present and close up at the conclusion of the rental. In the event of any electrical, mechanical, or plumbing problems, it is in the best interest of the Recreation Department and the renter to have this representative on duty. The normal working hours for the superintendent are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Any time that is not normal working hours shall be the responsibility of the renting party.

The superintendent will be paid $12.00 per hour bytherenter before the event starts. On holidays and Sundays the superintendent will be paid $15.00 per hour. For parties of 200 people or more, two (2) superintendents will be on duty. There is a four (4) hour minimum for superintendents. CASH ONLY

SECURITY/ FIRE MARSHALL: Certain events may necessitate the presence of security from the Augusta Sheriff's Department and/or Augusta Fire Department. That determination is made by the Augusta Recreation & Parks Department after the initial contract is submitted. If there are any additions to security/fire marshals, you will be notified. The fees for services shall be the responsibility of the renting party. Security Officer's & Fire Marshall's are paid $15.00 per hour for a minimum of four (4) hours.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: The sale of alcoholic beverages at a rental facility will require a one (1) day Liquor Permit, and any type of live entertainment where admission is charged may require a business license. The renting party will need to contact License & Inspections at 312-5038. Contact needs to be made at least 30 days prior to the event.

SMOKING: No smoking is allowed in any rental facility.

THE AUGUSTA RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT has the right to disapprove any pay at the door events. All events must end by 12:00 a.m. in all facilities.
