Facilities Management is a support organization providing construction, maintenance, repair,
Record Retention, and planning services to other Departments and operations.

Operational Groups

The Facilities Management Division includes the following Operations Groups:

Records Retention - Alvin Mills

Collects, stores, archives and retrieves documents for all Departments. The major user of this resource is the court system.

Construction Shop - Stephen Fowler

Repairs and maintains physical structures throughout the county. Works with other Facilities Management Operations Groups to complete various construction projects for other departments. Repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems. Works with other Facilities Management Operations Groups to complete electrical work on various construction projects for other departments. Erects, maintains and removes seasonal decorations in the downtown area.

Bldg. & Grounds - JLEC - Tim Pratt

Repairs, cleans and maintains the Joint Law Enforcement Center building and grounds. Responsibilities include the building shell; HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; and the security and lockdown systems for the detention facility. Additional responsibilities include cleaning of selected outlying facilities and maintenance of their HVAC Systems.

Bldg& Grounds- Municipal Building - Claude Andrews

Repairs, cleans and maintains the Municipal Building and grounds. Responsibilities include the building shell; HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Additional responsibilities include cleaning of selected outlying facilities and maintenance of their HVAC Systems.

Bldg & Grounds - Phinizy Rd. - Tim Pratt

Repairs, cleans and maintains the new Phinizy Road Detention Facility building and grounds. Responsibilities include the building shell; HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; and the security and lockdown systems for the detention facility.

Parking Facilities - Rick Acree

The Assistant Director of this division administers contracts for the parking facilities located at Riverfront Center, Fort Discovery and the public facility at the corner of Greene and 9th Streets. Maintenance of these facilities is performed by Facilities Management Operations Groups.

Administration - Rick Acree

The Assistant Director of this division is involved in preparation of bid documents, contract administration and general oversight of building maintenance and new building construction projects for all Departments.
