Inoperative Vehicle

Inoperative or Junk Vehicle

The Augusta Richmond County Ordinance Code 3-5-135 defines an inoperative or junk vehicle as any automobile, vehicle, trailer of any kind or type with one of the following:

  1. Wrecked
  2. Dismantled
  3. Partially dismantled
  4. Inoperative
  5. Abandoned
  6. Discarded
  7. Scrapped
  8. Does not have a valid license plate attached

Under the County Code an inoperative or junk vehicle shall not be parked on any residentially zoned property or other zoned property unless it is in a completely enclosed building or on property properly zoned for such vehicles.
