Mission Statement
The mission of the Augusta-Richmond County Housing and Community Development is to create positive change by promoting self-sufficiency through partnership in economic development, quality housing and neighborhood reinvestment.
The Department administers several programs including CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) HOME Investment Partnership Program, ESG (Emergency Shelter Grant), and the Economic Development Program.
The department strives to enhance the physical environment and improve the quality of life in Augusta and support the diversity of the city's population.

Community Needs Assessment Survey
The Housing & Community Development Department on behalf of the City would like to know what your needs are so we can determine how to budget Federal funds to be received by the City for Year 2008. Please let us know what you feel are the two most important needs in your community by completing the survey below.
2009 CDBG, ESG, HOME and HOPWA Grant Applications
The Housing & Community Development Department on behalf of the City is accepting applications for 2009. The application contains the Program Design and instructions. The application deadline is March 7, 2008. All applications must be post marked before March 7, 2008. No hand delivered applications will be accepted.
