About Us
The Augusta , Georgia IT-GIS Division is located on the 3 rd floor of the Planning and Zoning Building , 525 Telfair Street , downtown Augusta . We currently have over sixty GIS users throughout the county. There are 4 staff members: Billy Yates - Project leader (821-2864), Michele Pearman - GIS Analyst, and Evelyn Brenes – GIS Specialist.
The IT-GIS Division has many tasks and responsibilities including: training all GIS users, providing technical support for all GIS users, creating and maintaining GIS data layers, updating the online mapping application for the public, developing custom GIS applications, implementing GPS Asset Data Collection, and creating and printing maps/geographical reports/data for public citizens and companies (for a charge).
