Procedure for Dedication of Subdivision Development
- Punch List- Near completion of the subdivision development, a punch list
will be provided to the owner detailing the deficiencies needing completion.
- Final Plat- The owner will submit a Final Plat, Deed of Dedication and
Maintenance Agreement to the Planning and Zoning Commission at the completion
of the Punch List.
- Final Inspection- After receiving the Final Plat, Deed of Dedication
and Maintenance Agreement, the County Engineer’s office will conduct
a Final Inspection. If there are no deficiencies, the Final Plat is approved
by this office and routed back to the Planning Commission. If deficiencies
still exist, the Final will be disapproved by this office and routed
back to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
- Planning Commission Agenda- Once the Final Plat is approved, the Planning
and Zoning commission will add it to the Planning Commission Agenda.
This Commission convenes on the first Tuesday of each month.
- Engineering Services Committee Agenda- Once the Planning Commission approves
the Final Plat, it automatically is added to the Engineering Services
Committee’s
Agenda, which convenes on the second and last Mondays of each month.
- Commission Agenda- Once the Engineering Services Committee approves the
Final Plat, it is automatically added to the full Commission’s
Agenda, which convenes on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
- Deed of Dedication and Maintenance Agreement- Once the full Commission
approves the Final Plat, a separate agenda item is initiated by the Department
of Public Works and Engineering to approve the Deed of Dedication and Maintenance
Agreement. The Maintenance Agreement is subject to an 18-month period
as outlined in the Land Subdivision Regulations
- Building Permits- Once the full Commission approves the Final Plat, permission
to begin residential home construction is granted, the Department of
License and Inspection issues the Building Permit
