Firefighter Recruitment

The Augusta Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office maintains an ongoing EEO Resume Bank for individuals who are interested in future employment opportunities with the city of Augusta, Georgia.

At this time, the EEO Office is collecting resumes for individuals who are seeking future Firefighter positions with the Augusta Fire Department. Individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid U.S. Social Security Number
Must have a high school diploma or a GED
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be in good physical condition
Must successfully complete a criminal background check

A qualifying exam, interview and training sessions will also determine future hiring selections. All hiring decisions are made by the Augusta Fire Department.

Please note that the Fire Department may or may not be hiring at the time you submit your information to the EEO Resume Bank.
