Augusta Aquatics Center is home to two of the Southeast's best swim teams, the Greater Augusta Swimming (GAS) and the Aiken-Augusta Swim League (ASL) as well as being home to Richmond and Columbia County's High School swimming and diving programs.

Kayaking

Kayaking classes are held at the AAC seasonally, these classes cover the very same skills and information as an outdoor kayaking class, only in the comfort of a heated pool. The majority of the beginning students have never been in a kayak and/or have very little paddling experience. The classes take the beginner from the very basics up through the techniques needed for river kayaking. Novice and intermediate boaters are welcomed to refresh their strokes and roll.
