Memorial Garden
You can create a lasting memorial to your beloved pet while helping create a new community resource.
Friends of Augusta Animal Services have launched a campaign to raise funds for a new Memorial Garden, adjacent to Augusta Animal Services. The garden will offer landscaped memorial areas with benches for quiet reflection and green spaces with picnic tables for interaction with pets being considered for adoption.
Plans are to complete the garden in phases as funds become available — hopefully
as early as Spring 2007. The garden will be funded through gifts from businesses,
civic groups and individuals and through the sale of personalized bricks.
Donations will also be used to help fund the low-cost spay/neuter clinic
and/or the crematorium at Augusta Animal Services.
Personalized Brick Project
With your $50 brick purchase, you can help fund the garden while creating a permanent memorial to your favorite friend.
Bricks may be personalized with up to three lines of 20 characters each (including spaces and punctuation).
A limited number of bricks will be available on a first-come, first-paid basis.
Bricks will be ordered in lots of 100 and will be laid accordingly. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
