1. Where can I find information about registration?

Registration is required prior to program attendance. Registration may be accepted after the program begins. In some instances late fees and non resident fees are required.

Please contact the program coordinator at the facility of your choice for further instructions.

2. What is the Recreation Department's refund policies?

For Programs: Total refunds will be given without question prior to the start of the program. After the program has started, a refund will be given only for medical or unavoidable circumstances. After authorization, a check will be issued as soon as possible so that there is a minimum of inconvenience to our patrons. Once a program begins, no refunds will be given.

For Rentals:

Prior to 90 Days – 100%

Between 60 – 90 Days – 50%

Less than 60 Days – No Refund

The Confirmation/Clean Up Set Up Deposit will be returned within 20 working days following the event if warranted.

3. What information is there about sufficient enrollment?

Formation of classes depends upon sufficient enrollment and facility availability. The department reserves the right to cancel, change the date, time or location of classes; change instructors; or make other revisions deemed as necessary. Activities postponed due to inclement weather or absence of instructor will be made up at the earliest convenience of the instructor and the participant.

4. What is the Recreation Department's check policy?

Make all checks payable to the Augusta Recreation, Parks & Facilities Department. A $25 service charge will be assessed by the City of Augusta for all checks returned by the bank.

5. What is the minimum age of a child when visiting Recreation and Park facilities?

Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over when visiting one of the Recreation and Park facilities.
