How does one get a fishing permit to the Mayor's Fishing Hole?
The Mayor's Office is not currently issuing permits at this time. However, you may fish at the pond if you have a fishing permit. No boats or firearms are allowed and there is an eight-fish count maximum per day. Fishing is only permitted during daylight hours.

How does the Mayor's Business Incentive Grant (BIG) work?
The Mayor's BIG Program allows a new business owner, who is starting a business in the Laney-Walker Development Area, to apply for reimbursement of up to $2,500 of initial start-up cost. Applications can be submitted at the Housing and Economic Development office. For more information call (706) 821.1797.

What is the procedure for obtaining a parade or street closing permit?
In order to obtain a parade or street closing permit an
application
must be submitted to the Sheriff's Office for review. Upon approval the Sheriff's Office will contact the applicant to finalize the details. For additional questions please contact Colonel Powell at (706) 821-1430.
