Request a Letter of Proclamation or Recognition
Persons and Organizations may request a Letter or Proclamation or Recognition from the Mayor's Office. Letters and Proclamations serve to welcome, honor, and celebrate people, events, and significant milestones that occur in Augusta or Richmond County. Letters can be used to congratulate outstanding persons for their unique accomplishments that contribute to the greater good of the community. Likewise, letters can be used to welcome conventions to the city or to recognize business for helping to foster economic growth. Proclamations declare a particular day, week, or month in honor of individuals, organizations, or causes that have helped to make Augusta better.
